Every year we take a selection of our customers on a seasonal pine mushroom foraging trip with the environmental enabler and cultural producer Diego Bonetto "The Weedy One". This year we had an absolute ball and were able to expand our "Meet The Grower" series to "Meet The Educator".
Diego gave us so many golden nuggets, facts and ways to find pine mushrooms and slippery jacks without damaging the environment. We are so excited about next year's chef adventure. A massive thank you to everyone involved.

MEET THE GROWER | SDFP FINAL FARM AND MARKET TOUR OF 2020
After a turbulent year in the fruit and vegetable industry we have rolled into December on a positive note with our last Sydney Direct Fresh Produce farm and market tour of the year.
We had the pleasure of taking thirty top flight chefs to several farms in the local NSW area to learn from the grower themselves. To kick off the day we took the chefs to the Sydney Markets to explore the hustle and bustle of the fruit and vegetable industry.

MEET THE PROVIDORE | A DIRECT PIVOT PRODUCING FRESH BUSINESS
It is a real pleasure to be featured in the “Leader 2020 Special Issue” from The Sydney Markets. Like many providers, SDFP saw a dramatic reduction in business when COVID-19 derailed the hospitality industry.
This caused our business to reduced sales by 80-85% meaning we had to think fast and smart.

This week we made a flying visit to “The Truffle Farm Canberra” to pick up some of the most exquisite truffles for the season ahead!
We can confirm that we are ready for your orders.
