Avocados are between seasons, Queensland growing regions are gearing up in the coming 2-3 weeks and prices will then ease. Queensland lemon season has started and prices are easing weekly. Most other veg and fruit lines are good quality and great value.
Strawberries have been good value for a while now, but the party is over. Growers spend the next few weeks pruning their plants so that they have fruit ready for Easter time in April. This unfortunately limits supply and pushes the price up over this Period.
New season apples are not too far away with the first varieties starting over the next week or two, this means most apples in supply are fruit from cold storage and fetch high prices as the growers start running low on stock.
