Meet The Hosts - Chef Elijah Jazz

Elijah Jazz started his chef journey in Wollongong, working in a cafe that then progressed to fine dining. He did internships at several restaurants that include Paperbark, Eschallot, Bentley and Yellow.

Elijah now works full-time at Yellow as a chef de partie. When covid struck, Elijah felt the impact like many other chefs in the industry. Elijah says, "With my time off over Covid I noticed a lack of stories and experiences not being shared on digital platforms for the industry. So i was inspired to create my own podcast that told the real story from a chefs perspective" With this, he started to interview close friends who worked in the game.

After six episodes, Elijah started to feel his groove and journalist Lee Tran Lam, who writes for Gourmet Traveller, Good Food and The Sydney Morning Herald, jumped on board to be interviewed. He was inspired and felt the momentum to explore more layers of the industry through story.

The Roots Hospitality Podcast has gone from strength to strength, interviewing leaders in the industry. Sydney Direct Fresh Produce started to tune in and admired Elijah’s passion and commitment to the industry.
