Aussie season Asparagus has finished, and we are sourcing imported stock, which is much more expensive. Asparagus, Avocados and Lemons are the 3 main lines which are currently short in supply.

Avocados and Lemons are in between seasons, and we are waiting for Queensland growing regions to gear up in the coming 3-4 weeks, and prices will ease. Most other veg and fruit lines are good quality and of great value.

ISSUE 150 "FRESH IS BEST"

The supply of Vegetables is good, and prices are fair, with many significant value options available now, which is an excellent change from the tough Winter and Spring we went through. All the fruit is of good value and excellent quality, especially the stone fruit.

As happens every year, the local Lemon season has finished resulting in a lower supply and higher pricing. However, Limes have increased in supply, and prices have fallen and will continue to fall as the season progresses.

The Queensland growing region of Bowen has finished for vegetables. The cold and wet weather in our next major growing region Victoria has affected supply resulting in many shortages in vegetables and Leaf lines.

Lines majorly affected are Tomatoes, Broccolini, Cauliflower, Capsicums, Eggplant and Leaf lines such as Baby Spinach and Rocket.
