Paul & Maria Bidwell moved to Tasmania from Western Australia several years ago to semi-retire and downsize their operation of growing avocados.

Tasmania's fertile land, cold climate and their expertise have enabled them to provide consumers with high quality, fully mature avocados with a rich, nutty, buttery flavour to satisfy the most discerning taste buds.

Tasmanian chef Massimo Mele took Sydney Direct Fresh Produce owner Luke Kohler to Avoland Avocados to meet the grower and find out some interesting facts about this much loved tropical fruit.

As we hit an abundance of Blueberries in the Sydney Markets at this time of year, it made perfect sense to get educated on these purple super berries from Smart Berrie's farm manager Alex.
